I will make the left side right

2007 rally of the since unfortunately self-obliviated MIÉP, another far-right party. They used to have a real motley repertoire, including this spooky neo-shaman. She quotes the Sumerian-Akkadian goddess Innin (Ishtar), ‘She (Ishtar) [changes] the right side (male) into the left side (female), she [changes] the left side into the right side, she [turns] a man into a woman, she [turns] a woman into a man, she ador[ns] a man as a woman, she ador[ns] a woman as a man.’

Organized by Jobbik, a far-right party in Hungary (16.5% of votes last elections). There will be bazaar, belly dancing, genuine Arabic shawarma, genuine Arabic coffehouse, playhouse for children, opening speech by Gábor Vona, president of Jobbik, another speech by Lóránd Hegedűs, president of HAMASZ (HAzafias MAgyarok SZövetsége, i.e. Federation of Patriotic Hungarians, no kidding) and a lot of fun!

“LET THERE BE PEACE, LIBERTY AND ACCORD”

Government decree No.1140/2010. (VII. 2.) orders that the Declaration of National Cooperation should be displayed in public buildings framed, in color, in a size of at least 50x70 cm.

A recurring problem of Hungarian culture is that due to linguistic constraints, most of our literature is unavailable to the wider humanity. So here comes my rough translation:

“LET THERE BE PEACE, LIBERTY AND ACCORD”

At the end of the first decade of the 21th century, after fourty-six years of occupation, dictatorship, and the two obscure decades of transition, Hungary regained the ability and the right of self-determination.
The Hungarian Nation’s struggle for self-determination started in 1956, with a glorious revolution that was put down in blood. The struggle continued with the political pacts of the Regime Change, but finally ended in defencelessness instead of freedom, poverty instead of progression, deep spiritual, political and economic crisis instead of hope, trust and fraternity. The Hungarian Nation regathered its strength on the spring of 2010, and accomplished a successful revolution at the ballot box. The Parliament declares that it recognises and respects this Constitutional Revolution.
The Parliament declares that the April Elections were the birth of a new social contract, in which the Hungarians decided on founding a new regime, the Regime of National Cooperation. With this historical deed the Hungarian Nation bound the new Parliament and the forming new Government to determinedly and uncompromisingly coordinate the work, with which Hungary will build the Regime of National Cooperation.
We, members of the Hungarian Parliament declare that the new regime, originating from the democratic will of the people, will be built on the pillars that are essential for prosperity, humane life, and will connect the members of the diverse Hungarian Nation. Work, home, family, health and order will be the pillars of our common future.
The Regime of National Cooperation will be open for all Hungarians, both in- and outside Hungary. It is both a possibility and a requirement for everyone living or working in Hungary. It is our firm belief that by the unity embodied in the Regime of National Cooperation, we will change the future of Hungary, to make out country strong and successful. This cooperation will liberate immense powers, will entitle every Hungarian to great hopes, regardless of age, sex, religion, political view or geographical location, and after long decades it will give Hungarians the means of self-fulfillment. We will dedicate the coming years of our lives for this goal.
